Information Security Analyst

Gevity is recruiting for an Information Security Analyst who will be responsible for reviewing processes, systems, and technologies; researching and recommending improvements that will ultimately align business objectives with security requirements and related programs. The Information Security Analyst will ensure that security controls are effective and that any gaps are identified and mitigated.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security threat and risk assessments on health information and technology solutions for Gevity’s international client base.
  • Assist clients in preparing required reports and deliverables related to information security and business process improvement.
  • Research and recommend information security initiatives to provide continuous improvement to information security operations and activities.
  • Support policy development and apply technology knowledge to achieve business objectives.
  • Advance security awareness and education through all levels of the organization.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of related IM/IT security experience.
  • Previous experience leading security assessments, interpreting results and providing recommendations in health care.
  • Superior written and oral communications, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal and customer-service skills.
  • Certification in one or more IT governance or control standards such as ISC2, CompTIA CASP/CSA+ or equivalent would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of information technology incident management, technology (software or hardware) development and/or technology operations management.
  • Knowledge of the public sector.
  • Ability for occasional travel when safe to do so.
