Gevity seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager for full-time employment as a Management Consultant within the Gevity’s Canada East team.
As a Project Management Consultant, you will oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of project related activities for multiple initiatives. You will take a leadership role with initiatives and other team members. You will be responsible for all aspects of project management including planning and implementing the projects; applying project controls to ensure appropriate reporting and communications with project stakeholders.
More specifically, as a Senior Project Management Consultant, you will:
Execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements based on client feedback;
Identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities;
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a multiple projects and scope;
Review project deliverables prepared by team;
Effectively apply project management methodology and enforce project standards;
Provide regular project status updates;
Identify and manage project risk and issues;
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Required Knowledge & Skills
To qualify for a position within Gevity as an Senior Project Management Consultant, you must possess the following knowledge and skills
Broad industry experience in health IT, including a minimum of 5 years with managing implementing health information systems and/or teams;
Formal training and demonstrated experience in project management;
Experience working with stakeholders at all organizational levels;
Ability to assist in process improvement and change management.
Ability to assist with development of internal strategies.
Ability to foster effective teamwork to set goals and resolve problems and ensure project is delivered to the client’s satisfaction.
Ability to assess situations to determine importance, urgency and risk and make clear decisions that are in the best interest of the project and the organization.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
The following qualifications are optional, but will be considered strong assets for this role:
A University diploma in a clinical or technical discipline relevant to the role;
An ability to travel for work;
Experience developing and executing planned strategies.
Any other industry recognized certifications, specifically in Health Information Management (CPHIMS), Business Analysis (CBAP), Change Management (PROSCI) or Project Management (PRINCE2).
